Coming home

It has been over a month since I saw you last.
Not once have dropped in,
You haven't even called me,
To make sure that I'm OK.

Well guess what?
I'm better than OK,
I'm on top of the fucking world.
I've got my work,
I have my friends,
I have a life.

You kept me locked away,
Hidden from the rest of the world.
Well guess what?
I can cope.
I've only just started to face the world,
But I'm not scared.
Sure, I don't know what's coming tomorrow
Or next week,
It may be good,
It may fuck me over,
But I'll welcome it with open arms.

I'm ready to face the world.
